| Now the FemDomme nights at Nemesis are designed for subs and Dommes to get together, with the emphasis being on getting new subs along to get some experience and meet people and hopefully become more confident and gain more understanding about this lifestyle. However I'm not new, although I still have a lot to understand and more confidence to gain. But my reasons for attending were, in some cases, different to those who were new. | We haven't been to House Of Principals for a long time, although we did join and become members on their first night. We stopped going due to having other things planned for the same dates for three months and then just never went back. There had also been bad feelings between the Domly One and the HoP organisers. They lost their venue and moved on to private house parties for a while for members only. By this time we were no longer members, the initial membership having expired. [more...]

Yesterday, lili, popi and I went to watch the annual Pride Parade through the centre of Manchester. Every year it seems to get bigger and thousands of people turn out to see it. Afterwards we went to see "The Notorious Bettie Page".
Both parade and film turned out to involve themes of the celebration of sexual minorities, and other people's attempts to suppress them. [more...]

| I've been in Maryland for just over a week now, I have been to the Crucible before but never played, only ever played once in public before this and that was many years ago. There was an 'exploratorium' on before the club where you could try a variety of things, I tried a vac bed which was really strange, my neck was a little small to get a constant seal so I had to be careful how I moved, while I was in the bed I had 3 people around me with ice, sliding it over me, it was bizarre, movement was extremely restricted but not impossible, I just wish I could have got a photograph of me in the bed. There's been some discussion on IC about this month's issue of
Bizarre Magazine, so yesterday I went
and found a copy for the first time in more than a year. There always was
some BDSM or Fetish content, but this month has features on BDSM and the
law, flesh hook suspensions, and that Kaotian "slave master" in Darlington.
As well as the features, there is a double-page spread with a report on the
Club Noir burlesque night in Glasgow (a borderline fetish fashion event);

| I arrived early, chaperoned by Michael 999, and was expecting Danny to be in a tizz, sans Maria who's away. He wasn't, so that was a good start! | Lovetrix is my favourite club (very closely followed by Hades, but that's another matter). I'm very happy with the Hatfield venue and the way the club is run, so when they announced an all day festival I was a little apprehensive that they wouldn't be able to reproduce the atmosphere I know and love.
