| Visited a friend last night i haven't seen in ages, it was great to catch up. We got onto the subject of motorbikes and he said he has an old 125 Jawa that's only done 750 miles but might need a bit of work. When i was a kid i used to go out to my Uncle's house in the country and he had a Jawa sitting about in his garden, i always liked it because of the Jawa's being a race from Star Wars, lol, when i eventually got into bikes and asked about it, he'd already gotten rid of it. | People are gonna see a change in me this year, i'm not gonna let myself be walked over like i did last year. Despite being homeless at the start of the year i found myself helping somebody that i thought was a good friend, i stepped in when nobody else would, i was there to help out when needed but as soon as this "friend" got himself sorted out i never heard another word from them, yet i was the one who was accused of abandoning them, i had to laugh. | i'm going on a journey today that isn't going to be pleasent but it has to be done. | Yes, it's that time of year again folks, when glove loving people such as myself start seeing people wearing leather gloves everywhere they go. Sure, it's just here and there for now but it'll change, oh yes, it will, soon they will be everywhere you look, teasing you, beckoning you, practically calling your name, it's maddening i tells ya. They do say this year will be worse for leather lovers though, especially with it being the fashion must have, long leather gloves in New Look, Thigh High boots in Top Shop, leather skirts in H&M and skintight leather trousers in almost every fashion retailer. | Well, the 24 hours after that last blog of mine brought a lot of luck and good will. i got a call from Tal's Mum telling me that one of my neighbours from when Tal and i were together was giving me a bed and that her and another of my old neighbours was putting a bunch of stuff together for me to help me get started. Altogether 3 people donated a bed, coffee table, tv unit, pots, kettle, cups, towels, bedding, lights, a footstool and other bits and bobs, the council are sorting out the electricity and the water today, so, all [more...] | ||

| So, i'm now rehoused (technically, although i'm still in between while i try to arrange furniture, kitchen goods and aplliances , get the power turned on, find out why i'm not getting cold water, when i can get hot. Then there's the carpets, actually that wouldn't be a problem but it's the lack of carpets that's the problem. i'm awaiting a call from a furniture project regarding assistance though. [more...] | ||

She was by far the most inspirational and influential in my life, she was my guiding light when, all too often, i strayed from the path. | if any of my friends who have known me since i moved to Dundee back in '97 will tell you, if there's one thing they admire about me that it's my ability to stay calm and, indeed, happy whilst the world falls down around my feet. That and the fact that when this happens i pick up the pieces and i start again. But, somehow, i lost that ability, i lost the ability to cope. i've gone through worse things than the events of the last year that pushed me near the brink and i've always coped and remained happy.
