| This is a follow up on a previous debate on the elections, where someone mentioned that they might consider voting for the BNP, because he felt that if we ended up with an Islamic state, our lifestyle would be threatened. He pointed out, that Islamic communities usually try to ban all outward manifestations of sexual activity, so obviously clubs would be closed forever. (eg, in Dubai recently, a couple were sent to prison for kissing in public.) If Sharia law was implemented here, the same thing could happen to us. [more...] | ||
