This is a true account of an event that took place in my life almost two years ago. Until now I have not felt able to speak openly about it, partly because I didn't want to relive the memory and partly because it makes me look so foolish. But if something good is to come of this experience I have to write about it to serve as a warning to anyone out there who may be about to act as irresponsibly as I did. I will not be naming the person or blaming him, I now see it as a scene that went badly wrong due to no communication and I take equal responsibility for it as I put myself into the situation. I stayed quiet for a moment not knowing if it were safe to call out, the steps seemed to be getting closer, but not walking towards me, just away from me "Please, is there anyone there?" I heard myself call out, "Hello" A mans voice broke the silence "Oh my goodness what has happened to you? What are you doing all the way out here? Why are you in my barn?" This time the van doors opened and someone pulled at my legs to drag me out, the fight had gone out of me this time I just let it happen. I stood outside the van leaning against someone holding onto me and we started to walk. I could barely stand, I felt the moist ground beneath my bare feet, then I was suddenly brought back into the valley of fear, I walked into water, OMG please not water. One of my biggest fears, besides hoods and gags, was water. No one said a word, not one word, it was silent, in fact I hadn't heard anyone say anything since the moment this all started. My mind drifted back to Mike, I still hadn't heard him cough. There was no way he could be here, I was sure he wouldn't have been able to hold it back, maybe he had never had a real cough, maybe the cough he had had all the previous evening and that day had been a ploy.
