| I was thinking about BDSM today and about its link with sex and sexuality. Or more specifically, how different people view it in terms of their sexuality. I think for most people it is part of, or an extension of their sexuality; something from which they get at least some sort of sexual thrill or gratification... but what else do people get out of it when stops being about sex? | Generally, I start getting ready for Christmas round about July. In fact, if I had my way it would probably just be Christmas all year round. I only have to *hear* the word 'Christmas' and my brain pretty much explodes with tinsel-y glee. However, I am aware that not everybody shares my enthusiasm - even though I think they're crazy. Most people are quite happy to act as if the season isn't yet upon us, but there is one thing that signifies the beginning of Christmas that not even the stoniest of cynics can ignore. [more...] | ||

| My cat is on the way out. I'm preparing myself for the end, so it's not going to come as a shock or anything, but it still hurts. He's been losing a lot of weight in the past couple of weeks and he's very thin now. You can see and feel his hip bones and he's very light when I pick him up. He's gone off his food a bit and earlier today his back legs gave out while he was walking. He seems fine again now, walking around and looking quite happy, but I know he probably doesn't have long left. [more...] | ||
