(i wonder just how many blogs there will be with that title?)

WOW is just one of the words i used to describe the weekend i have just had.

i have a habit of not getting excited about big events, that way, if something goes wrong and we can't make it then i won't be as disappointed (i am actually an optimist as well, but a cautious one!), even on the train down, Mistress Tal asked if i was getting excited, but my answer was that i wasn't, because we weren't there yet. The train journey itself was pretty uneventful, apart from rather strange looks from the lady opposite as Mistress put my collar on me as we got closer to Preston.

Arriving in Preston we were greeted by the lovely ghost and MG (who is taller than He appears on His profile). So, off we went to Blackpool to get ready for Club Lash. Arriving at MG's we were introduced to Rosalee, bexx, 2nd Skin and popi. At this point i had started to get excited about the weekend to come, little did i know how great a time i was going to have.

After everyone was ready we all headed off back to Manchester for Lash. We parked in a big car park and walked to Lash (the long way), even getting our photograph taken from a woman in the pub on the corner of the street up from Legends. Once we were inside Lash i immediately started to recognise some faces from I.C and trying to figure out who was who. Both Mistress and myself were feeling kind of shy and spent most of the night in the tunnel bar, at the back where some of the demos were to take place on the Saturday. MG made a good host and introduced us to everyone he spoke to, the only problem with that is that i don't remember everyone i met, as i met a lot of people. The time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to head back to Blackpool (we left a little early as everyone staying at MG's was a volunteer for the Saturday). So, helping Demolition Red with Her bags i headed back to the car along with everyone else.

Back at MG's we were still buzzing from the great atmosphere at Lash, so most of us sat and chatted, at 5am i gave up and went to bed. 7.30am MG was getting us all up, as we had to be at Manchester station for the back of 9, though we were a little late. But, despite being slightly late, working all together we got everything into the venue in good time. The Saturday part of Kinklusive was a real eye opener for me, i have never been to anything like it before. Mistress Talena got taped to a chair in the cloakroom, which was nice, because it meant i could wander round freely (though the bad point of this was that She missed most of the fear workshop, which She would have loved). All the stalls were great, and the prices were a lot better than i had assumed they would be, very reasonable. Mistress managed to get Herself a lovely black and white leather flogger from Freak (She's now deicded She wants to have an all black and white play kit), we also got a story of 'o' ring from Freak, a scooby flogger from Satin & Steel (i think it was), oh and i also bought my leatherette top for Nemesis at Freak too. The last thing we bought was a pinwheel from JBL. But every stall had things we wanted, we just couldn't afford it, as we didn't manage to save for the weekend (a mistake we won't repeat next time round).

The workshops were great, but between there being at least 2 i wanted to see on at the same time and volunteer duties i missed a few i really wanted to see (the one i'm really disappointed about missing is monkeyboi's interrogation workshop.) But the Backlash talk was very informative, i learned a lot. The fear workshop was brilliant (when LeatherMGoddess asked for a volunteer i wanted to put my hand up but was far too scared, lol), the Rope Bondage one was really good, lots of different styles and very pretty bondage. unfortunately i missed the wax workshop, strap-on workshop, body mod, interrogation, wood, steel and rope bondage and electroplay. (though i did get a little demo of the e-stim stall, i'm still terrified of electricity, but then again, we are starting with fear play). When 5 o'clock came we started to help move everything out the building then headed to Blackpool to get changed for Nemesis.

On the way back to Blackpool Rosalee was worrying that something may have been left behind, so i phoned MG, to get Him to ask DemRed, who was supposed to be in His car, if She had it. When i phoned him and asked if She was ther He replied "No, She was supposed to be in your car" so it looked like She had been left in Manchester, so we all started worrying about Her. Rosalee phoned Her, and She confirmed She had in fact been told to follow us, but we were too far ahead of us and when She got back to the venue Kinklusive had been in everybody had left. The good news was She had the item that Rosalee was concerned about but She was standing outside freezing. So we had decided we would nip in, grab our clothers, plus DemRed's stuff and we would all get changed at Nemesis. We phoned MG back and He said Tanos and someone else was on their way to the venue to pick up DemRed and look after Her until Nemesis. MG and co turned up, let us into the house and we started rushing to get all our stuff together. i was crouching on the floor putting stuff in my bag and i looked up and there was MG and DemRed atanding by the door, i said "hi" and went back to packing, it was only a few seconds later my brain registered i had just seen DemRed (remember i had been up since 7.30 with only 2 hours sleep and had been working hard). It turns out when i asked if DemRed was in the car MG said "No" without thinking, so the rest just fell into place and between Them They manage to wind the 4 of us in ghosts car good and proper! (Evil things happen when Dominants conspire!!! lol) So we all got ready and headed off in the direction of Nemesis.

We managed to lose MG and co on the way to Nemesis, due to other traffic, we were following them to begin with. We drove down the way we thought they were, couldn't see them, and phoned to find if we were on the right road, i spoke to 2nd Skin, telling him about the pubs and stuff we were passing, but he said he hadn't seen the pubs as he was reading the map, but it would be best if we turned back to the roundabout and followed the map just to stop us getting lost. So back to the roundabout we went, and round it a couple of times till we got our bearings. When we found the road we were supposed to be on, we realised that it was the road we had been on in the first place. So we followed the directions on the back of the Nemesis tickets and found it all straight forward, that is, until we were there, almost. Where we were supposed to see the sign for the Imex Business Centre we passed the thing about 4 times before we saw it. But we got there in the end, at 11pm.

Both Mellow_Sadist and goodghirl said to me (and i quote) "Nemesis will blow you away!" i have to say, they were both right! Nemesis is AMAZING, next time i go there gonna have to check every nook and cranny for me, coz i'm gonna find somewhere to hide so i can live there! once we arrived i was standing beside MG when a tall Londoner came over and asked if i was gonna say hello to him. i gave him a little confused look and he said "It's luci" so i practically pounced on him and gave him a big hug! We spent the next couple of hours chatting to people, mainly Luci, riverdeep, Sweetijar, Mellow_Sadist and fiesty fox. Then about 1 we went off and got one of the Guardians to give us the grand tour. And the club ended in a way i could never have even hoped for (more about that in the next blog).

All in all it was a fantatic experience, one that we hope to repeat. We want to go to the Backlash fundraiser at Nemesis but we'll need to try and find a lift. The rest of the weekend was pretty much saying goodbyes and having lunch with ghost and 2nd Skin in Preston on the Sunday, though i missed some strange cnverstaions downstairs afetr Nemesis, as i went straight to bed. i loved the whole volunteering thing as it allowed me to be a part of Kinklusive, which was an experience in itself. Roll on Kinklusive II!!!

And it was as great to meet you! i apologise for not speaking when we were in the train station but i was still sleeping, i don't think i woke up properly until DemRed's brilliant Backlash talk.
