| So, for my 2000th post, I thought that I should perhaps do something that I don't usually. Be honest and open. Well, I am habitually honest (there's not a lot of point otherwise), but I'm not habitually open. To be honest (since it's not my modus operandi) I'm not entirely comfortable about being open. I mean, although this is my personal space, other people might read it. | I was trying to work out how to blog about intensely personal thoughts without actually saying them (in view of the fact that the person involved in those thoughts is guaranteed to read it). | I've always found people fascinating, and love the little nuances, tell tale signs that give you tiny bits of extra information. Perhaps it's a smile, a twinkle in the eyes, a glance, a phrase (a hat tipped at a rakish angle, even). In some ways I'm not the most observant of people, as indeed I've blogged in the not too distant past, but I do sometimes seem to pick up on little details about people that tell so much about them.
