Saw the specialist today, it seems that they cannot identify the tumour because it is very rare. This means that a cure is very unlikely. Palliative care is all they are likely to be able to offer.

sick and tired

Well I didn't have shingles, but I did have some other random dreadful virus. I seem to have got rid of that. I have been continuing to have pains in my head and face, and have had antibiotics for sinusitis, and the left hand side of my face continues to be numb. My diabetes seems to be coming under control and I have lost 1 stone 5 pounds. I was supposed to go back to work on Monday, but over the weekend I developed double vision, so back to the Dr with whom i now have a relationship like the Ancient mariner and "that bird".

under pressure

I have to go to hospital on Monday for a colonoscopy. Apparently I will be sedated before they insert the camera, and I will have to take vile stuff the previous day to make sure there are no impediments to its access. I have been told that I need to be close to the loo at all times and, in the 24 hours before the procedure I can only drink clear fluids.

Friday evening I cooked herby suet puddings from The Hairy Bikers Tour of Britain cook book. MoK ate 2 (they were individual ones) and was happy. We had a wonderful evening, suspension tying flogging and fell asleep in one another's arms. Waking on Saturday in MoK's arms to get ready to go to Faversham. Feeling beautiful, MoK handsome, smart. We got to the Canterbury - Whitstable travel-lodge to book in early, only to find that our room wasn't ready and the woman didn't understand the concept of - give the annoyed people a room that is ready.
