| I remember, in times gone past, when the lighting of candles and group hugs were order of the day when a disaster happened to IC folk. If fact it didn't need to be a disaster, a broken fingernail along with a broken heart all brought a flurry of lit candles and hugs. This seems to have been a fad, as when it's my turn, we seem to have run out of candles to light and hugs to electronically transfer. [more...]

| It's been a quiet couple of weeks. Mini mel is still with her father, I'm worried about her coming home all spoiled. Not spoilt, but spoiled. She's nine and just lovely. Looking at her when she's with friends makes me realise that she's really quite young for her age. She's not streetwise or 'aware' like some of her friends. I love her innocence and long may it last. | A and I have attended a few scene events. One, on a semi-regular basis – well A has anyway. Before we attended anything pubic, we agreed that we would not allow the taking, or placing on a website any photographs. Not having attended anything before, I emailed one of the organisers with my concerns. The reply assured us that no photographs would be taken or displayed without permission. When attended the event I asked again, the organiser obviously a little irritated with my persistence, said this simply would not happen. [more...]
