| Today l will yet again spend time at my friends side, it amazes me the emotional strength people with cancer have, my friend when lucid is laughing at life through her pain and weakened state, and even in her confused times still funny, when she drifts off chuckling to herself, am relieved its her happy thoughts that are formost in her mind as she has not had the easiest of lifes, the will to live if formidable, this is a lass that will be kicking and laughing when her time comes, each day another problem arises another part of her body says "thats enough for me" and shuts down, yet her sheer determination [more...] | ||

| Oh am happy bunny, not even the postal strike could stop me getting the stockings l wanted, yes arrived today by courier, (worth the £5 delivery) they are yummy, just want to keep looking at them, so girly! black sheer stockings, pink lacy tops with ribbons, pink seams and pink cuban heels, oh joy now what to wear them with!!! | ||

| The darkness of the room surrounded me life a velvet shroud, it felt safe even cosy as l snuggled down into my soft warm bed, that lovely deep contented feeling as l drifted off into that trance like state between consciousness and awareness, a slight realisation that a flicker of light shone under the door as l closed my eyes. Thought I heard a noise, no just the sounds of the night, falling deeper into that lovely twilight world where time ends and fantasy begins. | Well another weekend here and can't get motivated to do a bloody thing...looks around home thinks well can only do so much cleaning... no one going out tonight well not anywhere of interest, but then if l don't do anything the day is wasted and that will annoy me... guess its just been that sort of week, been interesting, fun, dull, disappointing have laughed and l have shed a tear or two so maybe not too much to whinge about have experienced all emotions... but spending time at pc is not good for anyone should be out doing and not just thinking about it, but hell l just can't be arsed today, would [more...] | ||

| According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint which was promptly chewed and licked. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans. When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip-flops and fluorescent 'spokey dokey's' on our wheels. | My best friend is sadly very ill and time is both precious and short, theres a few things that would make her life more bareable but being short of funds she has asked the social services and the council for help, are they bending over backwards to help a dying woman who has asked for nothing all her life no just putting more obsticles in her way and hoping that she will die before they have to deal with her, she has 2 flights of stairs to climb but will they give her a ground floor flat no it takes time, she has got some infestation in her bedroom and is sleeping downstairs will the council come [more...] | ||
