| This time next week I will be sitting on the Eurostar on my way back to England. Phew! It will be a long day, because I have to get to the Gare Du Nord here, to St Pancras, across London to Twickenham, quick meal with a much-missed friend, then the journey to the family down in Cornwall. | ...soon, if at all possible. I'm still stuck in France, and it really isn't improving so I'm going to do my best to be back living in the UK by Christmas. I've been looking at my options, and at the moment my best shot seems to be just quitting here, and coming back to stay in the Twickenham area in a hotel as I dont have any friends I can stay with their- my family lives in Cornwall, so thats out- and looking for a flat. Just had a call from work- boss 1 is going away today, boss 2 wants to go to church and the other nanny has cancelled on them- can I go to work between 4 and 6.30 (That would be 3-5.30pm GMT!!) | ... the match cos I'm working, its on at exactly the wrong time here, 4pm, which is when I have to wake the kid up and give him snack. | .... I'm torturing myself by looking at all the flats I cant afford in the areas I love best. Today- Teddington. I can maybe get a mortgage for 130 grand if I am a really good girl. Even studios are approaching 200 grand.... I could look somewhere cheaper, but then couldnt get a nanny job because people who can afford a nanny tend to live in the dearest areas! Damn it all to Hades..... | ||
