| Does anyone else here listen to radio 2? I was horrified today listening to a chat show this afternoon about obesity, callers were invited to call in and share their views, Nina Mishcow was on there and was saying that being a fat parent is child abuse! God i swear people could have heard me screaming at that radio in Scotland! Callers were ringing in stating that obesity was offensive to the eyes of the thin person, that fat people should be banned from eating in public etc, it was appalling. | What do you do when you have been in a 24/7 for years and suddenly you are alone? How do you fill the time? Who is there to talk to that doesn't have an agenda? My Master alas has moved out of our home for the time being, and i am consumed with loneliness and sadness. | Why is it that Tops feel that if a sub who is collared approaches them to speak, they must ask if their Master/Mistress objects to the sub speaking with them. It is something that always rankles with me. | Reading Bluebells and Shadowroses posts on weight and peoples perception of weight, i think a lot of the problem is ourselves! The images we are fed in magazines and papers and on tv is that skinny is the only acceptable way to be, the 'average' size is seen as a 12, except almost 50% of the female population are over a size 16! therefore a 12 doesnt seem very normal to me. Because of this stereotypical normal, if we are anything over a 12 we are conditioned to feel we are fat and ugly and unusual.
