So life in the bunny household has been ultra hectic
recently. It's amazing how many things can get crammed
into one month! The last thing I should have done this
month was to start looking again to purchase a house
with my partner. It's just really hard to relax when
you start hating where you live.
Don't get me wrong, our rented flat is quite nice and
large for a one bedroom. BUT, the carpets must be
about 20 years old, the water is generally too hot and
every square inch of storage space is used. While I
know I need some new clothes for the office, I
physically dread trying to squish anything else into
the flat.
Matters came to a head this weekend when we returned
from our third vanilla weekend in a row away from home
to find we had no hot water. The idiot our landlord
hired didn't get the hot water regulator repaired until
Tuesday afternoon. To compound our fun, yesterday we
lost electricity for over 24 hours. This is the third
time we lost power this month though the other two were
just hour long blips. Consequently, yesterday I had
the privilege of sitting in a dark, cold flat with no
hot water waiting for the mechanic.
My partner has just brought it to my attention that I
have started honestly looking for a place to live. I
didn't realize how serious I was about moving until I
saw a rather nice looking bungalow up for sale. We
have an appointment to view it tonight but our mortgage
certificate recently expired and we need to go into the
bank in person to agree in principle to a mortgage.
Which of course … is a whole new can of worms …
So yeah, even ignoring my crazy work hours and recent
cold, life has been really damn busy. To free up time,
I took a hands-off approach to the Staines munch
newsgroup and exited the public BDSM stage. Because I
am a co-moderator of the newsgroup, I still get
frequent mail requesting me to volunteer to help run
some random BDSM event or another. Until I get my life
sorted out, please note the answer to all requests for
the time being will be “No Thanks, organizing my Dom is
work enough for now  ”
