I read with interest Thomasjanes web log on D/s
entitled “which comes first?” and as such developed
this starter list of D/s Dos and Don'ts. This list is
derived from personal experience and is geared towards
the psychological aspects rather than the mechanical
such as personal preferences or safe words. Please
feel free to write me with suggestions:
Dos & Don'ts for D/s Relationships
- Do discuss emotional triggers or abuse history
pre-play
- Don't use D/s to hide from life, you are
responsible for your decisions even if you made the
decision to give certain “rights” to your Dom
- Do discuss sexual and BDSM limits, rape means
different things to different people
- Don't have important discussions during sub or
Dom-drop
On a personal note, I'm a completely knackered and
happy bunny! Recently, I've had some fun casual play
and decided I'm quite content to slowly enjoy what life
may offer me. Maybe it's the gorgeous weather or the
British laid back attitude but I've become noticeably
more relaxed since my arrival. Its funny how in the
States or Canada there's such a rush to get things done
immediately but in the long run, does it matter if
something is completed today or tomorrow? Course, I
should manage things a bit better I suppose, my
neighbors already hate me because I'm ... uh … vocal
… doing laundry at 3 am can't help matters!
