Sundays, bloody sundays!

Sometimes I find sundays a bit of a bore.

In fact, sundays are more-often-than-not a bore. It's the kind of day you think "I'll do that on Sunday"... "I'll leave the kitchen till sunday"... "I'll get all the hoovering done on Sunday".

Then sunday comes around, you've got a touch of a hangover, there's nothing of interest on the radio and you just can't be arsed doing the hoovering, dishes, garden or multitude of other sunday tasks.

I've become quite adept at inventing other things to take the place of the boring sunday stuff I should be doing. So today, instead of the tidying up & dishes I've mostly been playing with my new weblog and fiddling with a podcast client I'm writing. Neither of which I'm doing very constructively, but they flit before the imagination in a much more pleasing way than the dishes do

I'm not at the point where I've done a little tidying up too - just enough to make me think "Well, I could have a little g&t to brighten the afternoon", but which the sensible sunday part of my brain is reading as "you will have a g&t then curl up on the sofa and surf around reading guff till it's too late to do anything practical".

I'm actually in the mood to really torture someone now that I think on it. I've been toying with a wooden-horse style contraption with a timer-adjusting height control.... Hmmmm.....
