4 Mar 06What is the point of one line memos? (5)(5 Mar 06, 10:05 PM by attica)
I have been on a diet since July and am just about to tuck into a large chocolate bar ... whoops sorry wrong website that should have gone to the weightwatcher's message boards. What I meant to say was ... [more...]
11 Feb 06Memoirs of an antisocial cow ... (3)(12 Feb 06, 9:18 AM by anomie)
Normally I am an antisocial cow - you can tell that by how often I write a log these days! [more...]
2 Feb 06My illusions shattered ... (8)(3 Feb 06, 9:32 PM by anomie)
Today I realised that I could probably no longer pass for young ... at least not without the aid of polyfilla or extra strength Oil of Olay. [more...]
20 Jan 06A sorry tail(20 Jan 06, 11:25 PM by anomie)
Those with sensitive stomachs (yes this means you) might want to wander away now while the going remains good ... [more...]
4 Jan 06The circles that you find ... (1)(5 Jan 06, 11:34 AM by MrHoppy)
My Dad asked me to look at the stuff that was in my old wardrobe at home with a view to him dumping most of it. A hole in the roof meant the ceiling collapsed and now the whole place needs redecorating and they are taking the opportunity to clear their offspring's detritus from the place. Can't say I blame them - after all I don't want nostalgia cluttering up my home either do I? [more...]
24 Dec 05Twas the night before christmas and all through the house ... (1)(25 Dec 05, 12:20 AM by ShadowRose)
Thanks possibly to global warming the frozen North is not all that frozen this year so I probably did not need to pack my ice pick and those instructions for building an igloo. [more...]
5 Dec 05Supermarket hallucinations (3)(5 Dec 05, 5:15 PM by anomie)
I went out for a couple of things and ended up coming back 4 hours later ... not sure how this happens but I am sure there is a time warp somewhere on the town centre. [more...]
29 Nov 05The pavement to hell ... (8)(1 Dec 05, 2:50 AM by OpheliaUK)
I thought a bonus in getting a dog might be helping me to get fit. This is not working at the moment as the dog formerly known as fang has but two speeds - so slow that you would need to fast forward the film to notice he was moving and stop. [more...]
13 Nov 05Dogs vs Doms (13)(18 Nov 05, 10:34 AM by subsumed)
Things have been a tad difficult on the home computing front ... the dog wants to use the computer as a chew toy (please read to the end of the weblog before making any hasty responses here), the lodger wants to use the computer to pursue an interest in ancient frog statues (aka 'playing zuma') and I want to run away and hide (somewhere warm by the sea for preference). Hence the lack of weblogs. [more...]
15 Oct 05I think, therefore I am ... what? (4)(15 Oct 05, 2:37 PM by mollysub)
Apparently it is unusual to find someone who has met me in real life - so a friend of mine was told recently. 'Tis true that I do try to avoid hanging around in real life wherever possible - preferring a fantasy world in which everything has a happy ending and I can eat chocolate without getting fat(ter). [more...]
9 Oct 05Dog amongst the viruses ... (9)(10 Oct 05, 4:30 AM by ShadowRose)
When I asked for advice re my pup I did not realise that it would cause such controversy - last time I did this was when I mentioned blow jobs! [more...]
8 Oct 05Genetic experiment gone wrong?? (13)(9 Oct 05, 3:32 AM by erostratus)
You know what it's like - you go out to buy a cute puppy and someone cons you into buying a furry piranha? Apparently it's play biting and puppies do this - try convincing the lodger of the 'play' bit as she shows me her battle scars. I thought that the business with the freezing fridge was bad what with her brandishing ruined cucumbers but it was a mere nothing ... [more...]
22 Sep 05A graduate of charm school ...? (7)(22 Sep 05, 6:16 PM by moonstone)
Recently someone I had never met sent me an e mail saying he wanted to speak to me on the phone that night. So he phones - first time we had ever spoken - what sort of thing do you normally expect from a first call ... a bit of slightly nervous chat followed by hopefully a nice conversation? [more...]
21 Sep 05A bit fruity? (4)(21 Sep 05, 12:12 PM by Smartarse)
There now follows a weblog on behalf of the pineapple marketing board ... [more...]
18 Sep 05Let's talk about sex ... (1)(18 Sep 05, 11:51 PM by anomie)
It has been a while since I wrote anything - not because I had nothing to say - as will become clear I still don't have anything to say but more because I have been thinking about other things. [more...]
1 Sep 05Keep out of my shed! (5)(1 Sep 05, 11:08 PM by boiata)
I live in a 60s flat/maisonette - apparently this kind of architecture is termed 'brutal' in certain circles - or 'characterless concrete' in others. You see similar flats on the Bill all the time - usually occupied by drug dealers, prostitutes and squats - you know the kind of thing - balcony with doors off. [more...]
31 Aug 05The loneliness of the long distance log writer. (7)(31 Aug 05, 9:21 PM by anomie)

30 Aug 05Over 70's Munch! (3)(30 Aug 05, 9:13 PM by anomie)
The IC new's team recently returned from their holiday to the Seychelles (at least that's where they told me they were going though I was surprised when they returned wearing 'kiss me quick' hats and gave me a stick of rock as a present - is there a Blackpool in the Seychelles?). While they were gone I was asked to stand in as intrepid news reporter for the bank holiday annual party of the "over 70's munch". [more...]
