www.friendster.com part of the current fashion for
online "social networking communities". These allow
people to put up profiles and link to their friends,
acquaintances etc. I'm now starting to think that
something like this might be useful for a bunch of BDSM
"finding people" questions, that Personal Ads don't

they've been using since the end of last year, and

UK munch and the Subversion party in Manchester
yesterday. We both thought Zak's Violet Wand demo was
especially well done. Thanks to everyone at Lifestyle
who puts the effort in behind the scenes to make it all

sidekick

TV series at the moment. "That'll Teach 'Em" is
recreating a 1950's boarding school with teenagers and

| Yesterday I was searching for Vanilla Clothing Item X
(with a perverse purpose in mind.) I tried naively
sticking the name of X into Google, along with UK,
hoping to get some UK high street or maybe mail order
retailers. No such luck. All I got were automatically
generated pages saying "Click here for links to Vanilla
Clothing Item X. We have all the best Vanilla Clothing
Item X brands..." that had been spammed into Google to
trap people like me into looking at the same mediocre

| This site has a clear policy about "pro dommes",
prostitutes and various other kinds of BDSM-for-money
characters. It's stated on the personal ads pages, on
the Sign-up form and on the form you use to put up a
personal ad. Nevertheless, most of the manual effort in
running the site now seems to be generated by these
people: dealing with complaints about them from genuine
members, sorting out their "send me 10 pounds in tribute
to show good faith and get a reply" scams and even being
