There's been some discussion on IC about this month's issue of
Bizarre Magazine, so yesterday I went
and found a copy for the first time in more than a year. There always was
some BDSM or Fetish content, but this month has features on BDSM and the
law, flesh hook suspensions, and that Kaotian "slave master" in Darlington.
As well as the features, there is a double-page spread with a report on the
Club Noir burlesque night in Glasgow (a borderline fetish fashion event);

| On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th May most of the national newspapers in the UK picked up a local story about a man claiming to be running a "Kaotian" variant of Gor, who had some unwelcome attention from the police (but nothing for them to bring charges about.) All of the stories prominently mentioned "Goreans" and told readers they are a widespread "sex slave" subculture in the UK (with 25,000 members according to some versions.) As a result, I've seen a dramatic increase in the number of visits to my websites from people searching with Google etc for "Goreans". [more...]

Correspondence" has been hanging above the fireplace in my study. I
originally bought the print in the summer of 1997, and it's been in more
than one frame and hung on several walls since. My view of it and its

".eu" opened for registrations today, and I've had informedconsent.eu in the queue for a while and it was registered this morning (www.informedconsent.eu just redirects to www.informedconsent.co.uk but it's nice to have it.) tanos.eu has been the subject of several conflicting trademark claims, so I've left that well alone. | popi has been living in my house for the past month, and tonight she has officially joined my wonderful lili as part of the household. I've discovered a lot even during these first few weeks, and the similarities between starting a poly D/s relationship and starting Enslavement have been quite striking: trust, transparency and stability are the central issues in both contexts. |

| I went to see Jarhead today (lili and popi being busy with the Women's Munch etc.) As the pre-publicity has indicated, it's a "bootcamp then active service" story, except active service in this case was the Kuwait Gulf War and was 5 months waiting followed by 4 days of walking towards some action.

Today is the first anniversary of the IC.2 system going live.
This "new look" IC included a lot more features, a total rewrite of the stuff under the bonnet, and a redesign of the layout to be more friendly to new and casual users of the site. [more...]

| We had a great time at Club Lash on Friday, and I was very impressed with Memoirs of a Geisha today - "sumptuous" etc. It's also come at a very interesting time, since thinking about "Household D/s" has brought non-Western models of service, training and non-traditional households to the fore. |
