| A local branch of the Church of England religious sect -
going by the name "Southwark Cathedral" - has launched
an attack on Club Wicked in London (who are quite
controversial in the London scene, but that's not really
the issue.)
Complaining to the council, the local group's leader -
using the title The Dean as part of "Church hierarchy" -
alleged that there is "evidence that the primary purpose

| There's been a few references to "The Matrix"
films already in the weblogs on IC and I expect
references to it will crop up again after the
second film, "The Matrix Reloaded" starts
appearing in UK cinemas from today. These films
have a bunch of themes which it's tempting to
relate to BDSM and our interaction with the
mainstream, vanilla world, including some of the
intolerance and demands for conformity that I

To put it bluntly, IC has been grinding to a halt for
the last month or so, especially at peak times (is there
something really boring on at 5pm on a Sunday??  )
Over the weekend, I've upgraded the system and it should
now be able to cope with another year of growth.
I'm also putting more duplication into the whole system
so it can cope better with hardware failures (there's
been a bit of that too) and get things on a more solid
basis in that respect. So this explains IC's absence
over night, but given it's now running on completely new
hardware, I think it's been a relatively transparent
changeover. |

| The distributors of "Secretary" sent me a copy to review
last week, and there's a copy of my review below.
The film goes on UK "general" release on Friday 16th

should write something:
helpful, friendly staff and a great range of gear
(including what
appears to be most of the Fetters Leather leather and
iron ranges.)
What they actually have on show does
correspond well to what they have in their website
catalogue. Don't be put off by having to stand in the
Holloway Road like a noodle while ringing the bell

| Some of you will know that IC has been mailing out
copies of our UK BDSM
Weekly Events List for several years now. The number of
subscribers has
climbed to 3673 and the number of events listed keeps
growing, but I have
started getting comments that it's getting too big for
some people.
As one alternative, I've now added four local events
lists for the four
cities with at least half a dozen events per month:
Birmingham, Bristol,

was impressed by the number of (positive) comments about
the weblogs part of IC. I'm now thinking of adding more
