| Despite the atrocious weather, Destiny and petra (tv slave) myself and TA ventured out to the wilds of Surrey to the new venue of ST's. I found the journey from Romford to Surrey took us just over the hour, the same time it would have taken to get to Hangar Lane, the old venue for ST. However Destiny and petra must have taken a very scenic route cos' it took them nearly four hours from the same start point. | Once again the intrepid twosome of Spike and Triple A ventured forth to feed the waterfowl of Essex. God knows why but we chose to do it at 0730 hours, you think we would have better things to do wouldn't you? But no there we were hammering at the gates to the park and I do mean hammering cos they have changed the damn opening hours. Didn't open till 0915, still not perturbed we snug in down the towpath, cunning or what ? (no don't answer that question). [more...] | ||

| Just goes to show how you never know what is round the corner. Destiny and I were indulging on one of our favourite pastimes, glamour photography. it being a nice day we decided to look for a suitable outside spot, we found what we were looking for in the grounds of a church (no we didn't go near any graves or desecrate or use holy objects) we merely used the park area and some trees. However where we parked our car we noticed a poor chap had broken down. | Having just heard the sad news that Sweet Torments has had to close(soley I hasten to add due to it's venue being sold by the owners and for no other reasons) and read Demiis weblog to Mike. I must put finger to keyboard and offer our thanks for all the effort given by all the team members past and present, but especially Mike. we have always used ST's as a yardstick to judge other clubs by, and sadly I must say none have ever come up to the high standards set by Mike and the team. | Having found the feeding of swans, ducks and geese so relaxing and emotionally rewarding during day time, TA and I decided to risk the experience during the evening. | Triple A and I decided that today was the day to commune with nature. So, equipped with the contents of TA's pantry to feed our feathered friends we wended our way to Waltham Abbey and the river Lea (if it isn't the river Lea then that is TA's fault it could have been Canvey Island for all she knows).
