I was very fortunate to happen upon first a man who then became a Master who has stuck by me through the past two years and some months while, with His help and guiding patience I've discovered new aspects of me. I have passed various hurdles thrown at me - and then Us by life, where I know full well a lesser man would have looked for an easier project. I have wondered where I have been going wrong, why this elusive "utopia" evaded so often. So close, tantalisingly so, frustratingly so. I have read, researched and discussed, yet still I was missing something. Other Dominiants expressed, even vanilla blokes ( funny how I find that strange!) interest. Its all well and good being told. Repeatedly told, repeatedly reading, repeatedly having something explained, knowing the approach, knowing what was "supposed to happen" I have witnessed many hoping to find something special fall by the wayside and began to wonder if I was chasing rainbows myself, as life's pressures got stronger, and excuses became easier, things slipped further from where we wanted. Jaded attitudes here on IC, on other forums and chats too don't help,hell I found them quite infectious at times, everyone one of us is different, every one of us has unique needs to find what we are looking for. We sit and we complain, as subs, as Dominants, that what we seek never is quite there. That communication is key. Can you truly turn to your Significant (play) Other and expose all of your soul. Not filter it through, select parts you want them to know, the parts you want them to have, to share. Even the pieces your ashamed of?
