Come Dine With Us.

We enjoy the TV programme, Come Dine With Me. I've said for a long time I'd love to apply for it, but the hours I work would probably prohibit it. I'm also not keen on the intrusion by camera crew into many parts of my life and the guests having a nose around in my drawers. (Oooer missus!) And VoiceOverMan would really show me up in a bad light!

Five go to.......

Five travelled, five arrived. Three rooms had been booked, we found we had four.
One bag of toys and one bag of ropes had NOT been packed with all the clothes. One man wasn't happy, I knew we could probably borrow stuff. Six went for dinner at the Chinese buffet, it was better than last time.

Weekend at home

Yep, you read it. Honest. We've been at home, not south of the border, not hundreds of miles away. A wee trip here and there but nothing that involved packing a bag.

Exodus for Fxxxxd Up. Supposed to have been five of us turning up but in the end it was just us two. Sickness and surgery put paid to the rest of 'em, leaving us with a choice of three hotel rooms to sleep in.

I have rules. They've been in place for quite a long time now and it was felt that it was time to review them.

My take on it.

Excellently organised, friendly staff, superb equipment. It was obvious just how much hard work must have gone into preparing it, and then running it but each time I spoke to someone with a "Staff" badge, or each time I saw them interacting with someone else, there were smiles and patience and a very open and warm welcome.

I've been to a wide variety of events over the years. Some (most) have been OK, some have been fabulous and some have been crap.

Long weekend

Thursday night saw us at the Worcester Curry Munch, a bit of a gamble as the Domly One has a problem with most food presented in Indian Restaurants. However after a bit of a chat with the waiters it was all sorted out beautifully and he had a meal he has said he would order again. The company was good, met a lot of people we'd never met before and had a very pleasant evening in excellent surroundings. The food was rather good too!

Four day eventing

Thursday night, off to the Glasgow munch. We tried to get in to eat at Jamie Oliver's Italian Restaurant just along the road but there was a wait of 45 minutes to an hour inside for a table, after a ten to fifteen minute wait in the queue outside and so we ended up at a wee Greek restaurant just next door to the munch venue. It was nice, food was good and there was no wait for a table.

I took a pile of girlie porn to the Edinburgh munch to get rid of books I no longer wanted. A box load was carted in and a few were taken back away again.

Girlie Porn

I'm having a clear out of a pile of what Himself calls "Girlie Porn" . Quite a lot of it is unopened, unread and has been sitting on the bedroom shelf for years. And some of it has been read from cover to cover.
