| We go to quite a few events round the country. We draw the line at London based ones, unless we can fit in two or three over one weekend. It's still a bit far to drive for a weekend though so we don't get that far south very often. [more...] | ||

| The first time we went to Tension it was in Egypt Cottage. We went quite regularly for a while. The last time it was in Rocky's, so... what, maybe four/five years ago? Rocky's wasn't a venue I was comfortable in, there weren't many people there and the door policy was relaxed/dropped later in the evening to admit all and sundry. We didn't go back. [more...] | ||

| I like to play at clubs. So much so that it is my primary reason for going to them, it rates - for me - higher than socialising, although I do enjoy that too. OK so there are times we go and we don't play, or even times when we go and only one of us plays. That's part of life. [more...] | ||

| .. travelling down to Newcastle upon Tyne, for Tension, on October 3rd? We're going, and quite probably driving back home after it, so we'll get back to my home in the southern end of Fife somewhere about 4am. | So here we go, off on our annual 'pilgrimage' to Denmark to an S&M camp for a whole week. But first we're visiting a friend in Copenhagen. We met her at SISC last year and she's been across to visit us a few times this year. Now we're going to see her for a couple of days, and then we'll all go off to the "Disneyland of Deviance" together - as phrased by one of our fellow attendees last year! [more...] | ||

| Velvet Eden: was quietish. We didn't play but I did enjoy the 'insertables and strap ons' display and talk. I discovered that vodka and ginger beer makes a passable substitute for Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer which I tried at the last Edinburgh munch, enjoyed muchly and have tried (and failed) to find anywhere else ever since. | Writing it down: Everything I eat I write down. I've done this for two weeks now, slipped a bit here and there when I had nothing with me for writing at the time. So this, and this alone has lost me two kg in two weeks. I'm surprised and delighted as I really haven't been trying. I have found that I don't want to write something down, and so I don't eat it. | I have a Danish friend. She advised me to read this book when we were shopping together in Edinburgh, so I bought it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently the original title is something like "The Man Who Hated Women". There are many, many twists and turns in the story, it was very intriguing. [more...] | ||

| Today has been a mixture of sadness and of achievement. This morning I got up when the alarm went off to take our guest, L - who has been here for three weeks - to the airport. In the time she's been with us there has been cleaning and cooking, misunderstanding and reconciliation, beatings and cuddles, sex and shopping, make up, dressing up and sleeping. We've been out, stayed in, had people round and gone to visit friends. We've all been to munches and clubs, she went to a concert. We've spent time together and apart and it has, overall, been good.
