| We've had yet another weekend of adventure and travelling! On Friday we went off down to MistressJuliaPink's Manchester Dungeon Party. We knew three of the people who'd said they were going but had no idea how many others would be there we might know. As it happened, that was about it. We arrived a little earlier than we'd expected, all three of us - as we'd kidnapped a friend for the weekend - and went in. | Watford munch - our first visit to this one, and new munch number 50 for me. We met a few new people but although we didnt speak to most of the people there, a couple of ladies kept us occupied by talking to us for most of the evening. Thank you! It was a wee bit hard to figure out which were the munch people and which were the ordinary pub diners, when we first arrived, until I saw a couple of people wearing name badges. Food was tasty, home made chilli for me and burger for him. Nice pub, outdoor heated area and friendly staff. [more...] | ||

However things don't always go to plan and real life had intruded in such a way that meant we couldn't travel south on Friday night. | Christmas Eve saw my parents coming for dinner. We ate very well, (I impressed even myself with my cooking) and I packaged up a lot of what was left for them to take it away. No doubt the beautifully tasty butter basted turkey will find its way into my Dad's stewpot! Along with almost everything else he took away.
