| This weekend should be jam packed with craziness. I have a play party this evening, to which Mr. Fancy Pants will accompany me and says he has a present for me…and I can only hope it's those not-so-affordable shoes I've had my eye on, or the perfume I dared to sniff at the airport duty free shop and won't pay that kind of money for but have been dropping hints about. He's a fabulous gift giver so my anticipation is killing me! Also, a new masochist will (hopefully) be waiting to be tested. | Is it too much to ask a colleague, who travels to London every other weekend, to bring back some cheddar? We are 'mates', as she calls it, and felt guilty for not doing it last time she visited and I had put in a request. When she forgot the second time I wondered if I had overstepped the 'mate' boundary of fetching something while out in another country….I would totally bring something back from the states for her (if it fit in my luggage). | I finally made it to the island. I went to Bath and had a lovely time. The visit really brought home how much I miss talking to people who understand what I'm getting at even when I'm not entirely precise and they don't stop talking to me when they realize I'm not from their country. | I ended up having a really lovely day yesterday. I'm glad I didn't take the day off because my colleagues were absolutely delightful and fussing over me the whole time. I secretly loved it! My boss thinks I'm in a bad mood all the time because I don't have sunshine coming out my ass – he doesn't get my demeanor at all…but he saw flashes of enjoyment and delight so he didn't give me a hard time for not having the expected emotional reaction to all the fussing.
