| There were 11 people hanging onto a rope that was suspended under a helicopter. There were 10 men and one woman . They suddenly realized that the rope was starting to fray, so they all agreed the one person should let go , because if they didnt the rope would break and they would all be killed in the fall. But no one could decide who should let go. So finally the woman gave a really touching speech, saying how she would give up her life to save thiers because women are used to giving up things for thier husbands and children etc , and that after all,men were the superior sex and must be saved ! | Well my overnight bag is packed ready for an early start to the hospital in the morning to have another couple of little bits chopped out of me again . The hospital path lab will soon have more bits of me in little specimen jars than i will have left on me . My op is scheduled for 3.00pm tomorrow , and if all goes well ( touch wood ) I should be back home sometime on Christmas Eve. [more...] | ||

| But I have got some absolutely fantastic pics of her today . The hardest job of the day was actually trying to shut her up lol . My model for today was Ex X-Factor finalist Stacey Solomon . We flew up to Grosmont on the North Yorkshire moors , where we filmed her in front of a huge frozen waterfall. We got some absolutely stunning pics, but God can she talk lol . I use a Nikon D3x with a top shutter speed of 1/8000th of a second , and even with a shutter speed like that I had a job getting a pic with her mouth closed lol . | Just arrived back home after a fantastic weekend . Played in the "Big Band " on the X-Factor last night, and got to meet the truly scrumptious ( even though she cant sing lol ) Cheryl Cole (1st CC.) afterwards. | "Oh no, bugger", says others! Its official, Im back !! Been for the results of my final brain scan today which shows my brain activity is now back to "Normal" . After the op to remove the tumour I was left partly paralysed down my left hand side , and my speech sounded like I had had 20 pints. But thanks to the great surgeons , staff and physiotherapists at Sheffield I am now officially back to "Normal". ( thats if I was ever normal before ). So thats the battle won in my brain, just got to kill all the other little blighters off now . [more...] | ||

| ...That by this time tomorrow night the score will be Nick = One. Brain tumour = Nil . After much ranting and raving at the bods in suits at the hospital, after they cancelled my op last week to remove the second tumour, my op is now programmed to go ahead tomorrow afternoon at 1.00pm , so by this time tomorrow night I will hopefully be back on the ward minus one tumour. | After spending the last few weeks preparing mentally and physically to have a second op to remove a brain tumour. Reappointing all my current work etc. Filling in numerous legal documents/ will etc. in case things went the wrong way . I woke early this morning physically feeling sick through nerves and apprehension as to what the next 24 hours would bring. [more...] | ||

| I have been wishing this day to arrive for the last two months etc. And now that it has I am wishing that it was another two months away. Tomorrow about 1.30pm I will be on a trolley being wheeled down to theatre to undergo the second six hour operation to hopefully remove the second tumour that is doing its best to invade my brain . Been through this op a couple of months ago, so I know exactly what to expect etc. But Im still abs. crapping myself. Just hurry up and give me my pre-med and get that canula in me and put me to sleep . Then hopefully six hours later I will wake up ( attached to a [more...] | ||

| I have just recieved an email from my boss telling me that I / we are to be charged with two offences that happended during the filming of a "Flash dance " in Piccadilly circus a little while ago. We were filming a "Flash Dance " which involved a 100 young female dancers performing to the Beyonce single "Im a single lady " to promote her live concert at the O2 arena in November .We had applied for all the relevant permissions etc. from the LBC. which had all been granted. | Just got back from the Sheffield Arena after having an absolutely fantastic evening watching "Quidam " by the "Cirque de Soliel ". If you have never seen any of thier live perfomances I highly recommend that if given the chance, you do ! Thier performance this evening was absolutely sensational, stimulating every sense and nerve in my body. Totally breath taking !! | ||

| Hi Peeps, Im back home( eventually ) after spending the last two weeks in hospital. Definitely not an experience I would recommend to anyone. ( and some duffer on here a few weeks ago said " Cancer is funny "! Well Im still not laughing !!) The op to remove my tumour went fairly well, I have still got to have further radiotherapy treatment in about a months time, and fingers crossed that should kill any remaining cancerous material. | ( Re my previous blog )After spending the last few weeks in a state of perpetual panic/ worry etc. The day has nearly arrived for my operation. I have done as much as I can do, now its down to the surgeons to do all they can. Its strange, for the last few weeks I have been in a permanent state of worry etc. But at the moment I am quite relaxed / resigned with my situation. I normally like to be in total control of anything I do, and now I am handing over that control to a group of doctors/ surgeons. Just get that canula in me and get me to sleep Lol. [more...] | ||
