| He is standing near the wall, blindfolded, as I approach him. I probe him with a firm and brief contact of my hands on his neck, shoulders, chest, applying steady pressure for a second or two. I stretch his arms out, draw then behind his back. He complies without any resistance, but I'm not 'inside' yet. My right foot behind his knee makes him kneel down, I push the back of his head down until his forehead is touching the wooden floor. Pull him back up in a sitting position, then further back until he has to let himself go and his head softly lands in my lap. I help him unfold his legs and once [more...] | ||

| Tonight, the classical radio channel has been broadcasting an hour of music samples of Stockhausen's music. One of the pieces was the Helicopter String Quartet, hence the title of this post. I am sitting in the sofa, one of the cats curled up next to me and fast asleep, and listened while watching the logs burning in the fireplace. Since I came back home a few days ago, the only thing I have been able to focus on is tomorrow morning, when we drive to Kürten for a last goodbye. [more...] | ||

| Last friday evening I received a phone call with the sad news, and cried myself to sleep like a lost child that night. I cannot forget how happily he was talking about the day 'they' would come to take him home, back to Sirius, the star he knew he came from. Yet I'll miss him, and wish there would have been a little more time to ask him more questions, and to share his love of music. [more...] | ||
