| I guess when we have high expectations of someone, when they lead us to have high expectations of them ... and they don't live up to those expectations, we have a right to feel disappointed in them, and in ourselves for the misjudgment, for trusting when we shouldn't have trusted. Or do we? Where should the disappointment lie? Is it disappointment, or is it just a case of re-adjusting and accepting someone's limitations? That would make life a lot easier afterall ... and we'd never need to feel disappointed again. | ||

| I was chatting to someone this morning who described himself as a Southerner exiled in the North. (It fits my description of myself). | Always make me question what motivates the person who delivers them. I mean what really is the point in attempting to insult someone you don't know? How can that bring any satisfaction, or have any meaning to you or them? | I've been a member of a totally non-kink site for nearly 8 years, and it's closing this weekend. This has never happened to me before and I never realised just how sad it would make me feel. It's just a site for like minded people to congregate, share views, post advice, support campaigns, raise money … just a small place, less than 300 members, only 30 or so regular posters, but actually, it was so much more than that. We met up, we sent Christmas cards, we texted, we phoned, we became friends, we went through a lot together. Sounds cheesy, but it became a part of my life and its closure spells [more...] | ||
