| I'm in a bit of a state and haven't really got a soul I can turn to as it's only just gone 7am. I've just had an accident and I hate myself for what's just happened: whilst making a pot of coffee, I caught the sleeve of my dressing gown on my kitchen scissors and knocked them to the floor - only my beloved cat jumped in the way and they caught her back legs. We're so lucky that the blades were closed and only nicked the fur on her back legs, but how do you tell a cat that it was an accident and that you would never intend to do something like that on purpose? | I've managed to stop running around the flat like a kiddie on a sugar rush for long enough to type this. I have just accepted an offer for a job as a Database Analyst and start on Monday next week. Even more technical than the previous role: even bigger databases to play with an more geekier stuff to learn. I'm over the moon. [more...] | ||

| I've just left the office for the last time as an employee and can barely hold back my tears. My contract of 12 months (which managed to stretch to 14.5) has officially ended. This was definitely the best job I ever had, and I know it will open the doors for future roles. [more...] | ||

| God the bitchiness on this site really brings out the worst in all of us at times , but this evening has really spawned a monster in me. Contributing to threads is something I often enjoy doing, whether engaging in banter, sharing an opinion or attempting to have a grown-up debate about something.
