It just occured to me, how hard it is to motivate myself to get out to munches or other events, when among the attendees there may be people who no longer speak to me, or are friends of people who no longer speak to me. For that matter I know there will be at least several people to whom I will have sent a memo, and not got a reply. It's almost as if this creates a pre-existing "don't talk to me" scenario, which is hard to break through. Or of course may just be my personally-skewed perception of things  [more...]
