| I woke up this morning and the sun was shining. I only mention the fact because I read in the newspaper that it was going to rain until November. Yes, it said in the Daily Mail.... ah, can you see what I've done there? This highlights the danger of going to Sainsbury's cafe for lunch and picking up the only bit of folded chip wrapping that happens to have sneaked it's way onto the newspaper rack. News? I'd have been better off asking the deep-fried scampi for their view of the world. | I hadn't expected to be free this weekend, but Miniboots went off to cub camp leaving me able to have a weekend of fun and frolics all to myself. Friday morning also saw a letter arrive offering me a place at uni in Norwich for September – not actually my first choice uni, but it means that whatever the other places that I've applied to say, I now know that I'll definitely be going away to study. It's removed a lot of uncertainty and so I felt like going out and celebrating. A quick run through Lastminute.com saw a hotel being booked, a rather large bag being packed and off I went. | It's been an interesting few days. I've been quad biking, speed boating, 4x4ing and horseback riding. I've seen lions shagging, hippos wobbling and suicidal springboks trying to run away from a car. I bribed a policeman, drove my rental car through a bog, faced down a bull elephant and then ran away from a mother elephant with a baby.
