“An Evening with the Insane,” or “MsValeria Puts the Boot In”

Oh dear. Well we're used to being patient with
excitable newbies, but this one was relentless ... I
even went back over the log to be certain (I've cut out
the irrelevant chat); MsValeria said precisely nothing
that could be construed as indicating she was fed up
with anything, and most of what he said had no bearing
on the conversation at all. So I came to the only
logical conclusion – that this person is totally
barking. Read on ...

FoneDom 101: In the cupboard

Well, ladies, in my ever-eager search to find a
lucrative job that doesn't involve being told what to
do by someone else, I hit on the idea of phone
domination. Sign up with a company, work what hours I
like, £12+ per hour for just talking to subs. Easy
peasy lemon squeezy.

Niche Fetish Exclusive! Cru Uncovers Underground Threat!

I sell my old crap (known to my friends as 'Cru's
Crap') on eBay every now and then so I have money to
buy new crap on etc etc, and I offered an Orinoco
Womble backpack for sale a while back with a load of
other stuff. Being the last thing I was offering to get
a bid, I went to look at the bidder's recent buying
record, assuming it was either an indulgent parent or a
Womble collector.

Fast Burn

I've read the posts about the apparently transient
nature of BDSM relationships with interest, and much
that is true has already been said. However, in my
experience, those looking at it from both a vanilla
point of view, and to a certain extent, from within the
scene, often miss an underlying fundamental point:

I pick up my keys and the crisp, full envelope, head

way you always do on leaving, but decide right-things

The Great Thai Fish Cake Debacle

Serendipity's fish n salad diet reminded me of an
incident some years ago when Cru, overstimulated by
Rick Stein's magical production of all sorts of golden,
mouthwatering and nutritious dishes, decided we should
Eat More Fish. Living in Scotland, there's quite a bit
of it about at good prices, and as the local
supermarket had just opened a marvellous fish counter
populated by all sorts of damp and colourful fishy
things - ('Look, here is Red Snapper! See - there are
Monkfish Tails! And over there, that grey thing He
marinated in sherry!') - Cru decided the hand of Fate
had been laid upon the collective stomach.

I swore I wouldn't get involved with this, but it's
getting out of hand. Having brought up an ADHD child to
be a well-balanced individual with good self-esteem
through the primary strategy of ignoring bad behaviour
(unless dangerous) and rewarding good, I lay before you
the following case analysis:

Cru Goes to an Orgy, Addendum: Dominant Strop

Grade A: Only for use when you're incandescent with
rage due to something like a repeat infringement.
Ensure object of your fury is kneeling or sitting.
Stand up slowly to achieve full Dom Loom as angry flush
creeps up neck into cheeks. Allow face to achieve
quality of granite. Glare. Stride off suddenly, swiftly
and emphatically, so sub needs a moment to twig what's
going on. Try not to trip over. Hide, preferably
outside, and take deep breaths until you've got
yourself under control. Cry a bit if required to
relieve tension. By the time sub has found you, you're
ready to deal with situation rationally. Fetch cane.

The Psychology of Dishonesty n that

I've recently been following a thread on the eBay
community boards (posted by yet another seller who'd
been cheated due to eBay's lackadaisical attitudes),
and it set me thinking about its relevance to our own
community. The OP posited that in order to deliberately
cheat a seller, the criminal must not think of the
seller as a person, but as a lower intelligence - a non-
person or object - made easier by the fact that there's
no face-to-face contact with online auctions. He also
pointed out, and was backed up by a number of other
sellers, that he was beginning to spot this type simply
by their emails, which lacked a salutation or sign off,
were abrupt to the point of rudeness, and were often
sloppy with grammar/case/spelling. A number of folk
disputed the latter point for a variety of reasons
(poor education/dyslexia/youth txt mindset/snobbishness
etc) which was fair enough.
