Boris is gone. Cancer. He was a rescued cat and I hadn't had him long, but he'd settled in and made it his home, we'd bonded and were buddies. I hoped after the shit he'd been through that he'd have had a good life here with me, and I suppose he did while it lasted. It wasn't enough.

Ages in fact since I posted anything or spent much time on this site. Partly I've been busy, and partly the weblogs seem less intimate now that you don't have to go looking for them. Also, I guess I haven't much to say here at the moment. I've no great secrets to divulge nor moments of angst and introspection to purge. Life is generally good, even better since I put new brakes and tyres on my bike. I've just got back from a long week-end in York with my secret lover and 300 Norwegian bikers, that has left me happy but exhausted in that post-shagging euphoric hazy kind of way.

Today I met someone I haven't seen for at least 15 years, maybe more like 20. She'd recognised me from my profile and sent an e-mail last night, which was a suprise A) because I wasn't expecting to be recognised by anyone; and B) because I would never have expected her to be on this site. Then it turned out she only lives about a mile away from me so we met for a coffee and spent the afternoon chatting about old times and current lives. Strange how things happen. Its been a while, but I've had flu. Apparently there is something worse than beetroot, and even worse than andouillette. According to my informant Chitlins are the worst ever foodstuff. Chitlins are fried pigs guts. Apparently they are as rubbery as andouillete, but with the added bonus that they taste like shit, not taste bad, taste like shit. I say apparently because I have never eaten chitlens, nor do I intend to. But for all you real masochists I hope that I've given you an idea for your Christmas dinner, a nice change from boring old turkey eh?

I am currently reading a book by someone I used to know. The name hadn't registered and I didn't bother to read the intro, but about p20 I realised that we'd been knocking around with the same (non scene) crowd years ago and suddenly realised who he was.
