| I have written previously about my wish that gastric banding surgery was available on the NHS in my area. I have watched closely the results of several IC members who have benefited from it and in the past have asked my GP twice to be referred for it only to be told that it wasn't available in my area. I looked into having it done privately and with my personal situation and financial commitments realised that this was just something totally out of my reach. So gastric banding became for me the holy grail - the ultimate answer and something I would never be able to have. [more...] | ||

| Thanks for all those who messaged me yesterday when my cat was hit by a car. Morwenna thankfully had no life threatening injury. However, her leg injury was much worse than initially thought, with three breaks , including the shoulder joint. We were given the choice of specialist surgery to save her leg or amputation. Thank goodness she's insured so cost didn't affect the decision. [more...] | ||
