I've done support work before; emails not sent to the expected place do tend to get lost unless there's a system preventing it.

No, i'm asking whether you sent your problem to "Tanos" or to "Admin" (as this may give us a clue about your initial accusation.)

Since it's stated quite clearly in numerous places (including this one: http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/about/help and on Tanos's profile page) why website help emails should be sent to Admin and not to Tanos personally are you suggesting that you are "incapable" of reading or understanding those messages?

What, you mean memos sent 'to Tanos' aren't read by him??? (The little cross indicated it had been read btw. And the follow-up one asking if he'd received the first.

Sounds like a serious failure in the IC memo system if true. Odd though, because every other memo I've sent on IC seems to have arrived with no problem at all.

As I said, I can't remember which e-mail it was sent to.

I am quite capable of reading messages thank you. there is no need to adopt a patronising tone.

IC is not the most 'intuitive' site on the net and takes some getting used to, as you will no doubt be aware from, for example, the repeated misquotes, caused by the IC structure of replying to posts.

Now, would you answer the question please..

I sent an e mail to Tanos... before reading the admin thing ( i was blonde once) As i had some prat threatening me. He replied straight away.

Someone commented about being "worried that this ban was for personal reasons to Tanos" Huh??? Its HIS site, its entitled to be personal!

I'm sure everyone on here has "someone" they dont like on IC, someone that has made rude comments, or been shitty to them. I am also pretty sure that if it was "our" own site,( individually) we too would ban the people who got our goat....or are we all angels here???

Maybe we should start a thread on " Who would you ban if IC was YOUR site"....only of course, people wouldnt really "mean" it ...would they??? ;)

Splitting hairs about something that happened in the past and getting into an argument about it will do nothing other than make you feel even more hard done by and bitter or whatever and nothing will be achieved. You have every right to make a complaint about something of course but to be fair Tanos might be a very busy man therfor maybe cannot afford to send individual Emails to people who have not noticed the complaint memo system. I am fairly sure that if he had more time on his hands he would have been far more likely to have memo'd you back to tell you which memo address to use, so lets all just cool down and realize that this whole thing is likely nothing personal.

And my answer (at the third time of telling) is that it is clearly stated on Tanos's profile and on the Help&About pages that complaints sent to Admin get dealt with, complaints sent to Tanos may not.

If you chose not to follow that instruction (and sent your complaint directly to Tanos instead) then that may well be the reason you (and/or your friend) didn't recieve the reply you'd hoped for.
