Sorry for the delay in replying; two members of my close family have died in the last six months. The Brighton munch is still going strong, although its promotion has suffered by all four of us mangers having other new commitments distracting our effort into the munch. I have been keeping it ticking over since then, but the last six months have made this difficult. We were originally meeting in central Brighton, unfortunately this had two problems: the venue got crowded in winter and we could not always sit together car parking was both difficult and expensive. The members that attended the munch decided that we should change venues. For a while we met at the The Harbour View, we now meet at the Caroline of Brunswick, still on the third Suday of the month. Please come along and join us on the third Sunday of the month between 3.00 to 5.00 p.m., with some people staying later. We a friendly group. There is no munch during July as too many people are on the beach or holiday or December as it is too close to Christmas. The details are kept up to date on the Informed Consent web site.

Hello All, I have been going to the Brighton Munch for a number of years, and yes we are a small group, but we are a very friendly group. I used to be the meet and greet person for the Munch, and i would always be at the pub early just in case someone new turned up. I feel we all try to make anyone new feel relaxed and happy to be there. It is hard to get people out in Brighton, so if you live in Brighton or nearby, come a long and see us. | |

I go there too - the munch is very small and the venue isn't my cup of tea, but then I've not yet complained as its just round the corner from me!
The key word is friendly though, everyone who does go really is friendly; there's not a trace of cliquiness, no talking behind backs, just genuine BDSMers chatting in a pub which is more than I could say for many areas, and we always have a good laugh. | |

We now meet at the Caroline of Brunswick, still on the third Suday of the month. The munch is held on the third Sunday of the month, except in December, as it is too close to Christmas, and July, as too many people are away. So the next planed munch will be in January. Brighton munch The Carolina of Brunswick is in the town centre, but with adjacent parking, including a rear entrance from the Oxford Court car park and within walking distance of Brighton Station.
The landlord and lady both know the scene. We have also used the function room upstairs for Dave's rope workshops

The end of the Brighton Munch Many of you will know that two of the organisers of the Brighton Munch, Dave and Val, are moving to Spain to start a new business. Because of the illness and death of my mother, then the death of my brother, and other commitments, I have not been active on the scene, in the last two and a half years. Similarly Dave and Val have not been able to put as much energy into the munch as they would have liked to because of what has been happening in their lives. Because of this we have decided to make the last Brighton Munch, our sixth anniversary, the last Brighton Munch. Mistress Boa is successfully running a weekday munch at nearby Shoreham for the last year, with an average of twenty-five people attending and thirty-five on their first anniversary; Renata also runs a smaller Sunday munch in Brighton. Details of both are available on the Informed Consent website. The scene in Brighton is currently quiet, but what's on listings will still be produced on our web sites periodically.
