i dont know about finding people through this site - but it is rather sad that members have to hide behind false names to the extent that you never know who you are dealing with.........

Why is that sad? Personally, the fact that I do not have my real name or pics in my profile is not an indication of dishonesty or ill intention, it's just a cautious measure. There are counteless reasons that I can think of as to why someone would want to do that, and they're not all suspicious ones.

I've no opinion on the sad/ not sad matter, what is very fraustrating is knowing someones REAL name, but not their profile name.......how silly is that!!!!

I did email and apologise! Its not an aol account unfortunately

How sad is this ( oh god, am I actually gonna admit this........)

The guy send me his photo, and I didnt pick up the message as I didn't recognise the email ( I get a lot of these penis enlargement emails that come up with random, but genuine seeming 'from' names) Plus, the email had no title, so it sat there, looking like spam.

When I went through to do my regular delete session, up pops this photo, and I'm finding myself all intrigued by this chappie, looking all cute and quizzical.

Only I don't know who chappie is! He probably thinks I'm some bitch who doesnt respond or something!

Its just really bugging me as I feel really rude!

Stick it in your profile pictures (or link to it from your profile - stick it on flickr or something) with a comment saying "Are you this man and think I'm a bitch? Email me again!" or words to that effect :p

If he's that cute, write to him and tell the truth. You found him in your spam filtre and can't place the email. It sounds a little lame, but will take away whatever hurt he felt by never getting an answer when he sent his pic. How hurtful is that?

Better to blame the technology and a faulty memory, especailly when it's true.
