I've never displayed this degree of discipline in my LIFE, but glancing at my word document my dissertation is all but FINISHED with a week and a half to go before the deadline! It still needs a heck of a lot of editing and I need to get it proof-read by a couple of people, but it's finished! Really! I've said everything I want to say and I'm not even that far over the word-limit!
I was supposed to be life-modelling tomorrow but it's been cancelled, so I'm going to take the day off work and indulge myself in some shoe shopping and birthday present buying, and then go to York for at least a night and probably drink a lot of wine. Still another essay to do for the same deadline, of course, but the main source of stress is very nearly done with. Of course, I owe so much of this new-found rigorousness to T, who constantly inspires me to try harder and do better. It almost sexualises my work, to know that a little part of it is done in order to make him pleased with me.
I'm constantly amazed how inspiring love is when mingled with a little control. Yum.
