I can now download both the document and the answer sheet, pity I couldn't do that at the appropriate time.

i emailed CLPU at the time of the consultation asking why they hadn't provided a version of the response form that could be filed online; given that they were inviting responses by email.

well, they didn't respond to that...

(personally i felt they were making it difficult for individuals to respond)

be interesting to know how many 'form' letters they are accepting as responses

i did respond individually, by email. received an acknowledgement, but no reference number

Yup, that really was a very minor point. So minor, I wonder whether it needed to be made at all, and if it did, whether the entire preceding post had to be quoted?

Is there any definitive answer yet on whether the Scottish executive will re-trawl the bounced out e-mails to see how many other responses have been missed out? With this and the problems with the Home Office site during the consultation, a conspiracy theorist would be going into hiding by now.

Fortunately yes, the executive has reviewed blocked email logs for 2 weeks either side of the consultation closing date, and has now agreed to take any responses caught by their system into account.

They have apologised, and now accept that this was a result of human error, ie, someone did not properly check the blocked messages in thier spam filter.

So I'd say it's resolved satisfactorily.

How about something from this one?

Oooops. I owe THEM an apology. I've just checked my form in full and did say they could use my name. I must have been on my high horse at the time.

Read some of the other responses and for some reason the police and womens aid are all in favour. Surely not.

Don't knock down fences until you know why they were put up.

Yes, and all with extremely rubbish arguments. For example, the various women's groups who claim that ALL pornography is degrading to women. Please could they explain to me how gay male porn is degrading to women? Strangely, they can never answer this point...

Nice one. Literally no argument contained in it at all!

Being the cynic I am; I'm sure the rejection of responses by the Scottish Executive is no accident, it clouds the issue and makes any decision that they take, look if it has popular support. I 'm sure a ploy that we'll see used again on this very subject.

I'm also quite sure that the Home Office, didn't expect such wide opposition
