Kazz, I know you, you are a deeply valued friend, I have an idea of how difficult you would have found this trip, and I know how important it will be to you. I also know that being the person you are, you will remember this for the right reasons, you will dwell on feelings because we should never forget, not because you are unable to move on. If anyone can use the experience of this awful period of history and turn it into a valuable, poignant and I hesitate to use the word, but "positive" experience, I know it will be you. You once told me your job, is an opportunity to "make a difference". Bebe, if you reflect on the replies you have had here, the "difference" you have made online with this post, imagine the difference you have made to those 41 young minds with whom you shared this experience with. Luffs ya! K xxx Ready or not, here I come, you cant hide |

Thankyou Kazz for a heartfelt and dignified piece of writing. I visited Buchenwald camp a while ago and felt pretty much the same..numb. I think what shocked me the most was when I signed the visitor's book and read comments by Germans still in denial any of it actually happened.
