Good luck

Well, today's the day I have my blood test for diabetes. Not too sure how to feel at the moment. I don't feel nervous or anxious; I just feel very low.

Probably won't find out the results till the middle of next week. Why can't these things just be instant?

Anyway, think I should make a move now.

oX.

I had one done in the fall of 2004 and it wasn't so bad. I had good news though and I hope you do too.

Keeping fingers crossed

I'd just like to thank everyone who replied yesterday, hopefully the test will come back negative. But thankyou for all your concern and offers of support if needed.

Sorry I did not really correspond with you yesterday, but for some reason I hit a low point, and whatever I started to write, just seemed to be comming out all wrong. So I didn't write anything.

I'll keep you all posted as soon as I know anything.

Thanks

Mike.

I'm not doubting anyone's advice etc but diabetes IS a serious condition and CAN kill or cause permenant damage VERY easily.

And quickly.

No-one should be trying self diagnose something like this - no matter how easy.

No, I would agree with that. If you suspect it you should go straight round to the GP. But testing with a meter is IMO a useful thing for people with a family history of diabetes.
