I've had an email suggesting I visit

http://www.nightnews.net/fetish/news.txt

It says

"Rebound BDSM, Fetish Club - We don't recommend it

---

DV8 - We don't recommend it

---

Nightshade - We don't recommend it

---

House of Principals - We don't recommend it

---

Any club not named here - This implies it is not safe - Failing which we have not been informed about it."

ANyone know what this is all about?

Thanks.

I would agree with at least 2 of the clubs on that list, but that is my personal opinion.

Why do people email this shit to you, is it to do with your gullibility?

If anyone offers you vanilla sex, just say No.

Its nothing whatsoever to do with Goth clubs its a very old posting and relates to no more than petty personality clashes.

Have you nothing better to do with your time?

I was talking about this http://www.nightnews.net/ the full site, rather than the text page hidden in it's depths. To me it's kind of like Cbeebies site (for toddlers) saying Grange Hill (for teens) isn't worth watching.

Nightnews is run by a chap in Edinburgh called JV. He used to run Gotham and helped to run Transmission and DV8, all in Edinburgh. He was the one that wrote to Edinburgh Art School Student Union denouncing Violate. He may hold the honour of being the first person Violate ever banned.

He seems to fall out with everyone although they don't fall out with him as often. He appears to consider himself a big wheel in the Edinburgh/Scotland/World goth club scene, whether he is or not I cannot say. He runs a Yahoo BDSM group in which he also seems to think he is the big BDSM cheese. A lot of people who have encountered him consider him an irrelevance.

Do not ask a question unless you are prepared for any answer.

No reason to move on. There is no doubt plenty of interesting information yet to come out. In any case, anyone that makes 15 posts in a 59 post thread has no basis to tell anyone else to move on.
