Use the many handily-placed pedestrian crossings, keep looking both ways and only cross when the road is clear
|
I'll explain more if I turn up on monday |

But there's a perfectly good Spanish supermarket in Portabello... Must remember to pick up the membrillo and manchego...
|
Must admit I'm not a great fan of manchego.
To mix my continents for a moment... It's a bit like Key Lime pie in Florida. Everywhere you go insists that there's is the best. So you try it. Out of politeness, or in the faint hope they might be right. And you are always left thinking: "doesn't this taste the same as the last one that was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread..."
Miel y mata (from memory it's Catalan?) is an entirely different kettle of pescos though

Perhaps I should bring back some turron for the next munch.

Naturally.... assuming it's edible (no habla espagnol...)
*editing to say: I've just found out what it is and now the answer is yes please

Makes note on shopping list. Any particular type?
Any more requests from anyone? I'm amazed there's not a long line of subs on bended knee beseeching me to bring them gifts of saffron, pimenton dulce and... They clearly have no taste

Am I the only person who thinks the Sagrada Familia is massively over-hyped?
If you want "wow" factor then I'd choose a night (or two) in the Reyes Catolicos parador in Santiago de Compostela and a stroll across the square to the cathedral.
|
No you're not but I'm only going by photos and film since I haven't been there in the flesh...
|
Totally coincidentally, I discovered today that Ryanair fly to Santiago AND Granada.
Un abrazo.

I don't think I'll be going. I'll have to stay back in the office since a new project has just landed in my lap...
Besides, it's freezing out there!
But everyone else should go though, there are plenty of beautiful women there. 2 of them in particular are really amazing looking.
Look out for them guys! Where have all the female switches gone?
