Well, what a weekend, after some jiggling about with the kids over the last few weekends i got the entire weekend free to play with, so a trek up to Manchester on Friday evening with poor old Dragonsfyre, who was i am sure traumatised by my driving! i did keep trying to explain to him that the fens are notorious for their lack of hills! driving on them is a novelty, and a scary novelty at that! i prefer the roman way of doing things - straight lines, rather than great bends in front of sheer drops into water! hey ho, i enjoyed myself, and he couldn't have had as much of a white knuckle ride if he had paid for it at Alton towers.

We arrived at hotel late in eve, and i was reduced to a slightly less than zombie state of activity through sheer exhaustion. Met up with several at the hotel, had drinks and vegged out whilst watching an awesome sci-fi film on tv! enjoyed celebrating my birthday in company with friends old and new and got a wonderful gift, which cheered me, thank you ;).

Had room next door to Bron & Bh, so the sounds of early morning pillow fights woke us, and possibly everyone in hotel lol. We then frantically tried to get organised for the day at kinklusive! Met up with loads of old friends, lots of new ones too, got some fab hugs, kisses and gropes, and generally recovered from the night before! the socialising was good :) but would have liked to have seen some more shopping stalls! the atmosphere wasn't quite as happy as at other events, but it could have been weather related!

After a chinese meal, and waving off friends, and driving off over the hills again; Nemesis was absolutely fab! what an awesome venue, (once we found it!) i have been to several clubs now, but think this was definately the best i have seen anywhere to date. The DM's were amazingly helpful, thorough and i felt completely safe knowing they were present. I didn't play, as i tend not to on a first visit to any club, but next time will have no reservations in doing so! It wasn't as crowded as i was expecting, and still had play equipment free even at peak times. I slept for a short while to grab some energy for the drive back to our hosts in Yorks, which was a blessing. Bizarre to fall asleep in a play club, to the sound of spanks and screams, but not slept that well in ages! :) i was also really pleased to meet up with someone i had been wanting to meet in person; 'wow' is the only word i can use at present, so that was nice :)

Long drive back to the house, and spent the night in fear of the hairy creature sleeping in the room with me; having knowledge of how they can bite, i was a bit daunted, but both he and the tarantula were pretty well behaved all night. Thank you kindly to our hosts for putting us up and putting up with us! great to meet new people and new friends. Looking forward to the treks up North in future :)

Not an inspiring blog, but a good weekend all in all!

Have you been using that dodgy satnav system again? I'm still puzzling how you managed to find hills and sheer drops between Cambridge and Manchester. :-D
