My friend Ben came with us to Kinklusive. MykelO and Dilly Tante were meeting us there. Now, with Ben, nothing is ever simple. Or boring. He was due to meet me at the station at noon in Manchester which was the easiest thing, because Ben had a student type party (being a student himself and all) in Manchester on the Friday night. It was a theme party and he was gong in his pyjamas. I didn't ask why.
Ben called me at 10.30 on Saturday morning and said he's got royally pissed the night before and ended up sleeping somewhere in Manchester with God knows who. He'd taken 3 buses across town to get back to his friends house to collect his clothes and car keys to come and meet me. Well, his mate is a student isn't he? Not the most reliable of people (and don't start moaning about me saying that…I was a student myself for 7 years) So of course, the fucker wasn't there, but Ben was, knocking on his door.
Well I couldn't offer much help and advice on the subject and after a while he did the sensible thing and asked his lodger to drive over from Warrington to bring his spare car keys. So, God bless Ben, he was on time to meet me at the station…in his pyjamas.
So, if you saw a bloke at Kinklusive, wearing purple tartan pyjamas, and a purple dressing gown, it was my friend Ben. He doesn't have a weird kink, his unreliable student mate was just a twat.
