Good I hope
And I'm hoping to meet a fair few more folks face to face tommorrow ...but for those that'll be at Kinkfest I'd better give prior warning that I may be even more vague than usual!
Reasons are follows:-
1) A nasty cold usually tends to play merry hell with my broken and dis-functional immune system.
2) A biker with a battered/fractured leg, in severe pain and on crutches does not equal a restful, stress-free, relaxing home environment!
3) When the above biker then gets his unit broken into and all his tools stolen...to the total of nearly £4K.....he tends to get a tad crotchety...as do I!
4) Forgetting 2 hospital appointments, one doctors appt, and to post one claim form, one electoral form, two bills and a polite yes to a request for a management meeting, all in one week, makes me crotchety...
5) A sprained ankle, afractured toe, another bang to the toe resulting in taking achunk off the nail, a bruised toe on the other foot..all within 3 weeks....I think my feet are trying to tell me something. It could have something to do with the need to wear shoes or some other strange, arcane equipment, designed to ensure protection to vunerable areas. Or they could be telling me to get more rest so I'm less clumsy! Either way, I'll be taking no chances and wearing my big stompy boots for extra, added, specially enhanced toe protection tomorrow...Well it's either those or I break out the pink furry ones again. You have been warned! ![]()
6) Concussion also tends to make me forgetful! It also gives me headaches and produces an even greater desire than usual to hibernate at regular intervals (I vant to be alone!!!)
7) Add to all that a constant stream of visitors when I'm tired and strung out and me needing my peace and quiet - and you don't have a particularly good mix ![]()
So I'm looking forward to it, but won't be in my magic van (as I'm not too keen on the idea of driving home afterwards on the motorway with all those nasty, bright head-light-lamp-shiny things causing synapses* in my brain) and I may be inclined to take the odd "senior moment". But Phoenix will have all the necessary know-how or information*** to enable someone to tuck me up safely, in an unobtrusive corner, till I wake up again ![]()
As for Sunday...what was I quoting earlier? Oh yes...I vant to be alone!
Have a good onefolks ![]()

Dontcah just gotta love dictionaries? :D)

I was tired. I had to help my biker upstairs and to bed. That process took a while. This was also on the night we found out he'd been robbed and strong emotional stress tends to give mextreme exhaustion. Anyhow - he'd collapsed on the bed. I collapsed in a heap on the bedroom floor, leant up against the wall, next to the doorway. The door was open and I was sat with it on my right(I'd draw a map but you'll just have to imagine it, I'm afraid!) I went light-headed and fell gently (or so I thought) towards the nearest flat surface for a rest (polite euphemism in use here!). In other words I thought the floor was where I was headed. It wasn't tho cos the sharp edge of the door-jamb was in the way. Door-jamb + head + impact = consussion.
Still, I ended up on the floor anyway, so all was not lost "When in doubt, overdress" - Vivienne Westwood | |
