Everything happens for a reason (4)

My mantra in life is everything happens for a reason (even if you can't understand it at the time). When I look back on my life so far and evaluate things, I can usually work out the reason why something did or didn't work out in the way in which I expected, and what benefits and positive changes happened as a result of it.

I know that feeling, it's almost as if you know where you want to go, and then just follow your instincts it's almost like you'll get there in the end even though the points in between don't always make sense and things were just meant to be that way

...Then the woman said; "It is true. My father-in-law died in a tiger's jaw; my husband also died there. Now, my son has also died there." Confucius said, "Why do you not leave this place?" The woman said: "Here there is no harsh and oppresive government"

i wish i could adopt that type of attitude myself more often. sometimes i feel i've spent so long dwelling on things that happened in the past, and not in any positive way, that i find it difficult to move forward
