New chapters, university life and smelly students (2)

Well, I finally made it to Newcastle.

The moves were hectic as hell...I had to move out of my flat, back to my dads house, then unpack all my stuff, only to re-pack it and lug it all up to Newcastle. Something I never plan on doing again. (until I move into a new place next year)

Moving is stressy as fuck - specially when you're doing it solo! Once again, big thanks to the Sedgey perve massive (aka MrSedge....that's Mr Sedge, not Mrs Edge *giggle*) for helping me shift my stupid TV. (Television *more girlish giggles*)

For those of you who don't know, I've moved to Newcastle to start a degree in Applied Communications. Applied what? I hear you cry! It's a bit of a mixture of Media, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology and Cultural Studies...basically different methods of...well...communicating, in whatever way, shape or form. I plan on going into journalism when I'm done with it, so should set me off in the right direction at least.

I was so apprehensive about being older than most other people here, and it's true, I'm living with 5 girls, 4 of which are 18 or 19, apart from a German exchange student who's 23, but she's off her rocker anyway!

So far, so good anyway. A few downsides, but the pro's outweigh the cons for the time being - I'm in halls of residence - the whole complex houses 900 students, and it appears every single one of them congregates outside my window to serenade me with drunken versions of Wonderwall and Build Me Up Buttercup at 2am every morning.

The course seems good so far - I think I'll be happy here for the next 3 years.

Just got to hunt out the perverts now :D

Are you sure they are not just congregating because your reputation has gone before you.....

Us pervs are doing nicely in Newcastle .. in fact some of us are oot doing the Sooth Shields stagger tonight just to welcome in 2006 in the correct way.. thats beer beer beer and Curry..
