Student with massive over-over-over draft. Goes to see his bank manager. He has nothing left to survive on and will have to end his degree and become homeless unless she can help him. She gives him a job working for her as her domestic servant. His accommodation is provided - in her cellar. Over the summer vacation of 3 months she will reduce his debt to a manageable level. ...making him work 7 days a week, 18 hours a day, this equates to around 3 pence an hour he decides against challenging her when she orders him to lick her shoes and perform other degrading tasks ...at the end of the 3 months she keeps her word and reduces his debt. ...and charges him for 3 months of food, drink and shelter which will require another 3 months to pay off (I'm not quite sure how this might fit into an afternoon's play, but it's worth a try!)
