I've spent the last two weekends humping boxes, and crates, and clothes, and more clothes, and bags of shoes, and boxes of shoes (I know it's a rhetorical question, but why do subbies have so much "stuff", sighs) from one side of London to t'other. I now know... Why I hate driving in London even though I've lived here most of my adult life. That sitting in the lounge with the windows open, watching the hoi-polloi playing pat-a-cake and paying £9k a year for the privilege because the club has a certain social cachet, is a rather pleasant diversion. The pub round the corner serves excellent sandwiches (the choice of bread is not white sliced pap or brown sliced pap, but sun dried tomato ciabatta or rosemary foccacia). And the chips aren't bad either. That having a [spare,utility] room/study is not enough. You also need another room to house all the "stuff" that means you can barely move in the spare room. That it is all done. Please dear god, let it all be done... So unless all those crates that are now empty somehow magically re-fill themselves overnight (nothing would surprise me though...) Then we should both be there. (P.S. anyone want to make us an offer for a job lot of incense and tapers and papyrus and Wiccan things and stuff ... before I banish it to the loft???) Hows parking near the pub, as might pop in on my way back into London if only for a quick drink and to hide in a corner somewhere
